The Attention Index
Every day, Minute Hand reads the specialist watch press and counts how many outlets covered each release. Price indexes measure what collectors pay. This measures what the industry decided was worth writing about, which moves first.

Method
Minute Hand reads the RSS feeds of the specialist watch press each morning. Each article is matched to the specific watch or topic it covers, and articles about the same subject are grouped together. The coverage count is the number of distinct outlets that published on that subject. Counts are recorded daily and never revised.
This measures editorial attention only. It is not a price index, and a high count does not imply a watch is a good buy. Press attention and market value are related but distinct signals.
